Introduce KPAR
Welcome to the Korean Public Administration Review!

The Korean Public Administration Review (KPAR), first published in 1967, is the official journal of the Korean Association for Public Administration. This quarterly journal has been published 48 volumes and regarded as Korea’s most leading scholarly journal not only in the field of public administration, but also in the overall social science disciplines. KPAR has ranked highest among journals indexed by the National Research Foundation of Korea .

KPAR is open to a wide diversity of areas of public administration and policy. It particularly encourages the submission of paper by practitioners who work in public institutions, thereby creating a place in which theory and practice can be incorporated into praxis, while both scholars and practitioners are able to exchange their knowledge and ideas openly.

In terms of research topics, KPAR aims to cover the most conventional public administration issues/theories as well as interdisciplinary research in humanities and social science that are related to public administration. In research methodological wise, KPAR welcomes both experimental/quantitative and normative/qualitative approaches. It also appreciates the work of ground breaking theories on public administration.

KPAR holds a high publication standards level following the systematic review process. It uses a fair, transparent and efficient review process only based on well-established procedures and criteria. All editorial board members and reviewers consist of renowned academics in the respective fields. Reviewers are strongly expected to follow a fair/unbiased and timely review process; their constructive comments significantly contribute to improving the quality of papers.

KPAR complies with a strict and timely publication process; hence, all manuscript should be submitted electronically to facilitate rapid and on-time publication. Each manuscript is immediately sent to appropriate reviewers for the prompt review within the given time schedule.

KPAR has tried to maintain its highest reputation as a place for renowned scholars to publish their masterpiece. Queries about submissions, the review process, or any others are always welcomed. We are looking forward to your contribution.
